Will Your Europe eSIM Actually Work in Turkey, Greece and Egypt?
📑 Table of Contents
A Europe plan that turns out not to cover Turkey is one of the most common eSIM mistakes, and the reason is simple: the plan’s name is not its country list. Europe has no fixed geographic meaning in the eSIM market, the Middle East is equally loose, and North Cyprus is listed as a separate entry or omitted altogether, so travellers discover the gap after landing. Egypt and Greece usually need to be verified independently as well, and EU roaming rules stop at the border, which means your plan switches networks rather than roaming. This guide shows you how to confirm exactly which countries a regional plan covers before you buy it.
Why the Plan Name Is Not the Country List
“Europe” has no fixed meaning in the eSIM market. Some providers mean the EU plus the EEA, some add Switzerland and the UK, some quietly include the European part of Turkey, and some use it as a marketing category that shifts between products. “Middle East” is looser still, and “Cyprus” splits along a political line that mobile networks follow.
Three failure patterns account for nearly every regional eSIM complaint:
| Failure | What happens | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Country-count confusion | Two similarly named plans, different counts | Nomad 35 vs 36 |
| Political exclusion | Plan covers one Cyprus side only | Airalo Turkey excludes the TRNC |
| Border handover | Signal drops at a ferry or land crossing | Rhodes to Marmaris |
None of them is visible in the plan name, the price or the marketing copy. They are visible only in the country list, which is why these checks are the whole method:
- the exact country list rather than the plan name
- both “Turkey” and “Türkiye” spellings, because plenty of lists use one and not the other
- “Northern Cyprus” or “TRNC” as a separate entry if your route crosses the Green Line
- the network partner in each country, since a plan can be strong in Greece and thin in central Anatolia
- hotspot and fair-use rules across every country on the list, not just the first one
- BTK block status if the trip starts in Turkey, which the BTK block guide explains
This page handles the regional layer only. Turkey-only plans, activation and device compatibility live in their own guides, the provider failure modes are scored in one place, and the carrier comparison covers the Turkish networks themselves.
The 35 vs 36 Country Trap
Two Nomad Europe plans, one country apart, names that look identical at checkout: the 35-country version excludes Turkey and the 36-country version includes it. Travellers discover the difference at a border, which is the worst possible place to discover anything.
How to Tell the Two Plans Apart
The country count in the plan title is the only reliable signal. Read the number rather than the description, and if you are buying through a marketplace that strips the number, open the provider’s own product page before paying. Nothing about this pattern is Nomad-specific — it appears wherever a provider sells overlapping regional tiers.
Other Country-Count Traps Worth Checking
| Provider | Plan | Countries | Turkey |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nomad | Europe | 35 | ❌ |
| Nomad | Europe | 36 | ✅ |
| Kudo | Europe + Region | 46 | ✅ |
| GigSky | Europe | 43 | ✅ |
| Airalo | Europe | 41 | ✅ |
| Holafly | Europe | Varies | Check |
| Saily | Europe | Varies | Check |
| Ubigi | Europe | Varies | Check |
Can You Verify Coverage in 30 Seconds?
- Open the plan page.
- Find the “Coverage” or “Countries” section.
- Search for “Turkey” or “Türkiye.”
- Search for “Northern Cyprus” or “TRNC” if needed.
- If not explicitly listed, the plan does not cover it.
If the provider does not publish a full country list, assume the plan does not cover Turkey.
eSIM Country-List Verification Workflow
The verification workflow has five steps. List every country first, then match to a regional plan, then verify the network partner, then check hotspot and FUP, then confirm BTK block status.
Step 1: List Every Country on Your Itinerary
Include transit stops and ferry routes. For an eastern Mediterranean trip: Turkey, Greece, North Cyprus. For a Middle East trip: Turkey, Egypt, Jordan. For a Caucasus trip: Turkey, Georgia, Armenia.
Step 2: Match Your Route to a Regional Plan
| Countries | Best regional plan | Key check |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey + Greece | Nomad 36-country Europe | Verify 36, not 35 |
| Turkey + both Cyprus sides | Muletek Eastern Med Coast | Covers both sides |
| Turkey + Europe multi-country | Kudo 46 or GigSky 43 | Verify Turkey in list |
| Turkey + Egypt + MENA | Qrispy MENA (18) | Covers all MENA stops |
| Turkey + Georgia + Armenia | HelloRoam West Asia | Covers Caucasus + Turkey |
| North Cyprus only | TurkSIM North Cyprus | Dedicated product |
| North Cyprus + Turkey | TurkSIM or Ubigi 50GB | Verify TRNC coverage |
| Turkey + UK | Kudo 46 | Verify UK in list |
| Turkey + Balkans | Kudo or GigSky | Verify all Balkan countries |
Step 3: Verify the Network Partner
For Turkey, the network partner determines rural coverage. For Greece, Cosmote and Vodafone Greece. For Egypt, Orange and Vodafone Egypt. For North Cyprus, KKTCell and Telsim. See the three carriers compared for the full network breakdown. For measured coverage and speeds, see Opensignal’s independent network measurements. Regional eSIM profiles provision under the GSMA eSIM specification.
Step 4: Check Hotspot and FUP Rules
Kudo unlimited plans do not allow hotspot. Qrispy allows unlimited hotspot at full speed. Check the policy before buying. For per-GB cost math, read the per-GB math.
Step 5: Check BTK Block Status
If the provider is blocked in Turkey, you cannot top up or manage the account from inside Turkey. Buy enough data for the entire Turkish portion before departure. The UK FCDO Turkey travel advice recommends activating the eSIM before departure for this reason.
Regional eSIM Plan Comparison by Itinerary
Each itinerary has a different best regional plan. The right choice depends on which countries you visit, whether you need hotspot and how much data you consume per day.

Other Pairings: Italy, Germany, the Balkans and the Gulf
Beyond the headline pairings, three itinerary shapes recur in searches. Add Italy, Germany or Ireland and the answer is the same every time: those countries sit inside the EU, so any Europe plan that lists the country covers the whole route, and the only real risk is whether it made the list at all. The Balkans (Bulgaria, Montenegro) are the trap zone — some “Europe” plans stop at Greece, some include the western Balkans, and whether each country code appears varies plan by plan, so check them one at a time. The Gulf (Dubai and the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq) usually falls outside Europe plans entirely; the Middle East is sold as its own regional zone, so a two-zone trip may mean two plans. China is excluded from regional lists altogether because of local rules, and usually needs a separate product.
| Itinerary | Where the coverage usually lives | Watch-out |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey + Italy / Germany / Ireland | Same Europe plan (EU + Turkey) | Only verify Turkey is listed |
| Turkey + Bulgaria / Montenegro | Europe plan, sometimes Balkans zone | Country list varies plan by plan |
| Turkey + Dubai / Saudi Arabia / Iraq | Separate Middle East zone | Two-zone trips may need two plans |
| Turkey + China | Separate product | China typically excluded from regionals |
Greece: Ferry Crossing eSIM Handover
Ferry routes between Greek islands and the Turkish coast are routine tourist routes. They are also common points of connectivity failure for single-country plans. A regional eSIM covering both countries handles the handover automatically.
The Ferry Crossing Problem
As the ferry leaves a Greek port, the phone connects to Cosmote or Vodafone Greece. Mid-crossing, Greek signal weakens. With a Turkey-only plan, the phone may drop signal until it reaches the Turkish coast.
Common Greece–Turkey Ferry Routes
| Route | Duration | Signal gap |
|---|---|---|
| Rhodes to Marmaris | 60 min | 15–30 min |
| Kos to Bodrum | 45 min | 10–20 min |
| Chios to Çeşme | 30 min | 10–15 min |
| Samos to Kuşadası | 90 min | 20–30 min |
| Lesbos to Ayvalık | 90 min | 20–30 min |
How a Regional Plan Solves It
A regional eSIM covering Turkey and Greece treats the Eastern Mediterranean as one zone. Muletek’s Eastern Med Coast covers Greece, Turkey and both parts of Cyprus under one profile. Network handover is automatic.
If Handover Fails Mid-Crossing
- Enable manual network selection.
- Select the Turkish network.
- Wait 2–5 minutes for registration.
- Check APN.
- Restart phone. For the full activation workflow, read the activation troubleshooting.
Does North Cyprus Count as Turkey or Cyprus?
North Cyprus is the exception that catches most regional plans. The island has two administrations: the Republic of Cyprus, an EU member state whose networks follow EU rules, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, recognised only by Turkey. A mainland-only plan stops at the Green Line; a “Cyprus” plan stops at it from the southern side; and one that lists both is rarer than the marketing suggests.
Why the Exclusion Exists
Nothing about the networks themselves forces the split — KKTCell and Telsim run perfectly serviceable infrastructure. The gap is commercial: providers buy wholesale coverage country by country, and the TRNC is treated as a separate market that most regional products never negotiate. One covers the mainland and not the TRNC; the other covers the south and not the TRNC.
Why North Cyprus Is Left Out
The exclusion is political. The Republic of Cyprus is an EU member state. The TRNC is recognised only by Turkey. Mobile networks follow the political division.
Confirmed North Cyprus Exclusions
- Airalo Turkey product explicitly excludes the TRNC.
- Generic “Cyprus” eSIMs cover the south, not the north.
- Ubigi’s Turkey plans are a verified exception — they cover the north as well as the mainland.
North Cyprus Operators Worth Knowing
KKTCell (Turkcell North Cyprus) and Telsim (Vodafone). KKTCell Tourist Plus: 30 GB, 50 minutes, 500 SMS for 15 days at 699 TL (~$15.40).
Crossing the Green Line
If you cross the Green Line, your eSIM must cover both sides. Most regional plans do not. Muletek is the exception.
If Your Plan Does Not Cover North Cyprus
- Buy a dedicated North Cyprus eSIM from TurkSIM.
- Buy a local SIM in North Cyprus with your passport.
- Use a regional plan that explicitly includes both sides.
- Rely on Wi-Fi and VoIP for short stays.
Cross-border use adds its own fine print. Switching roaming on arrival in a new country can drop the connection for a few minutes, a regional plan’s fair-use (FUP) clause may limit how much of the allowance works outside Türkiye, and a top-up bought for one zone does not always carry into the next — worth checking before the Greece leg, not during it.
What One Plan Across Four Countries Actually Costs
The price case for a regional plan is real but narrower than the marketing suggests. A 10 GB Nomad 36-country plan is $13 and covers Turkey, Greece and the EU legs of a trip in one purchase, which is cheaper than separate country plans at the same size — and it removes the ferry-crossing problem entirely.
| Trip shape | One regional plan | Separate country plans | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| Turkey + Greece, 10 days | Nomad 36-country, 10 GB, $13 | Turkey plan + Greece plan | Regional wins on price and on the crossing |
| Turkey + Egypt, 10 days | Qrispy MENA (18) | Turkey plan + Egypt plan | Regional wins if the MENA allowance is pooled |
| Turkey only, 10 days | Not needed | Turkey plan, 10 GB | Single-country plan is cheaper |
| Turkey + five EU countries, 3 weeks | Kudo 46, 45-day validity | Six plans | Regional wins decisively |
Two things tilt the balance the other way. The allowance is shared, so a heavy data week in Istanbul leaves you thin in Greece, and a fair-use clause can restrict how much of the allowance works outside the plan’s home country. Where your usage is uneven across the route, two small country plans can beat one large regional one.
What Happens at the EU eSIM Roaming Boundary?
EU “Roam Like At Home” does not apply to Turkey. This is the single most expensive regional mistake travellers make. An EU SIM in Turkey connects as a roaming visitor, and carriers charge €5–€8 per day for data.
Where EU RLAH Stops
EU “Roam Like At Home” applies within the EU plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. It does not apply to Turkey, Switzerland, UK, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Gibraltar, Vatican City or the Turkish part of Cyprus. See the European Commission roaming rules for the official boundary.
Financial Consequence of EU Roaming in Turkey
An EU SIM in Turkey connects as a roaming visitor. Carriers charge €5–€8 per day for data. A 7-day trip costs €35–€56. A regional eSIM that includes Turkey bundles data into the plan price, typically €10–€25 for a multi-country plan.
The Border Region Trap
Near the Greek-Turkish border, phones with automatic network selection can connect to a non-EU network and incur roaming charges without warning. Deactivate automatic selection near borders.
| Destination | EU roaming? | Typical cost |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey | ❌ | €5–€8/day |
| Switzerland | ❌ | €5–€8/day |
| UK | ❌ | £6–£8/day |
| Andorra | ❌ | €5–€8/day |
| Monaco | ❌ | €5–€8/day |
| San Marino | ❌ | €5–€8/day |

BTK Block and Regional eSIM Plans
The BTK block applies to regional plans as well as single-country ones. Land in Istanbul first and the eSIM still connects and passes data. But if you need to top up, change a setting or contact support, and the provider’s website is blocked, those services stay out of reach until you leave.
What the BTK Block Does to Regional Plans
The block targets the provider’s platform, not the network. The eSIM itself keeps working — data flows normally. The problem surfaces when you try to open the app or website to top up, tweak a setting or reach support: blocked from Turkish networks until you leave the country.
What the Block Means for Your Data Purchase
Buy enough data for the entire Turkish portion. For a Turkey (5 days) + Greece (7 days) trip, buy enough for the full 12 days. Do not plan to top up while in Turkey.
Which Regional Providers Are Blocked
Airalo, Holafly, Saily, Nomad, Ubigi, Instabridge, Mobimatter, Alosim, BNESIM, Jetpac, Maya Mobile, Roamless, Yesim, GigSky, Flexiroam and many others. Klook is not on the confirmed block list.
How to Prepare Before Departure
- Buy the regional eSIM before departure. Compare options in the provider guide.
- Install the profile on Wi-Fi.
- Save the QR code and support contact offline.
- Buy enough data for the entire Turkish portion.
- Download offline maps for all countries.
- Keep data roaming off until landing.
Regional eSIM Hotspot and FUP Comparison
Hotspot policy varies across regional plans. Kudo unlimited plans do not allow hotspot. Qrispy allows unlimited hotspot at full speed. Saily throttles after 5 GB per day. Holafly caps hotspot at 1 GB per day.
| Provider | Plan | Hotspot | Daily FUP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kudo | Europe + Region | ❌ Unlimited | Varies |
| GigSky | Europe | ✅ | Varies |
| Nomad | Europe | ✅ | Varies |
| Airalo | Europe | ✅ | Varies |
| Qrispy | MENA | ✅ Unlimited | None |
| Saily | Europe | ✅ Unlimited | 5 GB/day |
| Muletek | Eastern Med | ✅ | Varies |
| HelloRoam | West Asia | ✅ | Varies |
| Holafly | Europe | 500 MB/day | Monthly fair use |
For laptop sharing, a fixed-data plan with large allowance and unrestricted hotspot is usually better than an unlimited plan with a cap. Roami’s plan includes unrestricted hotspot with a published daily quota (1–2 GB/day, resets at midnight).
Regional eSIM Network Partners by Country
The network partner determines rural coverage in every country. For Turkey, the partner determines whether you have signal in Cappadocia valleys. For Greece, Cosmote and Vodafone Greece. For Egypt, Orange and Vodafone Egypt.
| Provider | Plan | Turkey network | Greece network | Egypt network |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nomad | 36-country Europe | Turkcell | Cosmote / Vodafone | N/A |
| Muletek | Eastern Med | Turkcell / Türk Telekom | Cosmote / Vodafone | N/A |
| Airalo | Europe | Türk Telekom | Cosmote / Vodafone | N/A |
| GigSky | Europe | Multi | Multi | N/A |
| Qrispy | MENA | Türk Telekom | N/A | Orange |
| Xiao Long | Middle East | Multi | N/A | Multi |
| Kudo | Europe + Region | Multi | Multi | N/A |
If the network partner is not listed, contact support before buying.
Regional vs Separate vs Local SIM
Regional plans are cheapest for multi-country trips under 30 days. Separate plans work for very short trips. Local SIMs make sense only for long stays or when you need a local number.
| Approach | Cost | Convenience | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Regional plan | €10–€25 | One profile, one pool | Multi-country trips |
| Two separate plans | $10–$30 | Two profiles, two pools | Very short trips |
| Local SIM per country | $20–$38 each | Multiple registrations | Long stays, local numbers |
| Approach | 7-day cost | 14-day cost |
|---|---|---|
| Regional eSIM | €10–€25 | €15–€35 |
| Home carrier roaming | €35–€56 | €70–€112 |
| Local SIM | $20–$38 | $40–$76 |
For multi-country trips under 30 days, a regional eSIM is the cheapest and most convenient option.
Multi-Country eSIM Data Estimation
Multi-country data estimation follows five steps. Estimate daily data, multiply by days per country, add 30% buffer, check FUP and check hotspot.
Step 1: Estimate Your Daily Data
| Usage pattern | Daily data |
|---|---|
| Maps, messaging, light browsing | 500 MB – 1 GB |
| Social media, navigation, photo sharing | 1–2 GB |
| Video calls, streaming, hotspot | 3+ GB |
Step 2: Multiply by Days per Country
Turkey 5 days × 1 GB = 5 GB. Greece 7 days × 1 GB = 7 GB. Total 12 GB.
Step 3: Add 30% Buffer
12 GB × 1.3 = 15.6 GB. Round up to 20 GB.
Step 4: Check FUP on the Regional Plan
If daily FUP is 2 GB/day, usable high-speed data is 2 GB × 12 days = 24 GB. Enough for the trip.
Step 5: Check Hotspot If Tethering
Add 3–5 GB per day if sharing data with a laptop.
| Trip length | Moderate | Heavy | Hotspot |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7 days | 5–10 GB | 15–20 GB | 20–30 GB |
| 14 days | 10–20 GB | 30–40 GB | 40–60 GB |
| 21 days | 15–25 GB | 40–60 GB | 60–90 GB |
| 30 days | 20–30 GB | 60–80 GB | 80–120 GB |
Cross-Border eSIM Handover Troubleshooting
Cross-border handover failures have five common causes. Manual network selection locked to the old network, data roaming off, APN incorrect for the new network, country not included in the profile and network congestion at the border.
Why Handover Fails at Borders
- Manual network selection locked to old network
- Data roaming off
- APN incorrect for new network
- Country not included in profile
- Network congestion at border
Cross-Border Troubleshooting Sequence
- Enable automatic network selection.
- Confirm data roaming is ON.
- Toggle Airplane Mode.
- Restart phone.
- Check APN.
- Try manual network selection.
- Contact support if unresolved.
Border Region Tips
- Deactivate automatic network selection near borders.
- Check connected network before using data.
- Download offline maps for border regions.
- Keep home SIM active for SMS.
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| No service after border | Manual network selection | Enable automatic |
| Bars but no data | APN incorrect | Enter correct APN |
| Connected to wrong network | Automatic selection | Manually select network |
| Slow speed | Network congestion | Try manual selection |
| No data at all | Country not included | Check country list |
Regional eSIM Strategy for Nomads and Business
Digital nomads and business travellers need regional plans that cover multiple countries with disclosed network partners, accessible support and clean invoicing. MDM restrictions may block eSIM installation on employer-managed devices.
Digital Nomad Strategy (1–3 Months)
- Local Turkish SIM for voice and SMS in Turkey

The Country-List Trap, Discovered Mid-Crossing
Regional plans are sold by country count, and a 35-country Europe plan that omits Turkey is the classic failure. It shows up at the worst possible moment — mid-ferry between a Greek island and the Turkish coast, when the plan hands over and simply stops. The workable fix is two plans, one per side of the border, with offline maps covering the crossing itself.
Itinerary vs eSIM Plans
| Itinerary | Plans needed | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey only | One Turkey eSIM | The BTK block |
| Turkey plus Greece | Two plans or one verified regional | The 35 vs 36 trap |
| Turkey plus Egypt and North Cyprus | Separate plans | North Cyprus exclusion |
FAQ: Regional eSIM Plans
Does a Europe eSIM work in Turkey?
Only if the plan explicitly includes Turkey. Many “Europe” plans exclude it. Nomad 36 includes Turkey; Nomad 35 does not. Kudo 46 and GigSky 43 include Turkey.
What is the Nomad 35 vs 36 trap?
Nomad offers two Europe plans. Only the 36-country plan includes Turkey. Verify the country count before buying.
Is Turkey part of EU roaming?
No. EU “Roam Like At Home” does not apply. EU SIMs incur roaming charges in Turkey at €5–€8 per day. Switzerland, UK, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Gibraltar, Vatican City and the Turkish part of Cyprus are also excluded.
Does a Turkey eSIM work in North Cyprus?
Most generic eSIMs sold for the country do not cover the TRNC, and Airalo’s product excludes it explicitly. You need a dedicated North Cyprus plan (TurkSIM) or a regional plan that explicitly includes both sides (Muletek Eastern Med Coast).
What happens during a Greek-Turkey ferry crossing?
Single-country plans drop signal mid-crossing. A regional eSIM covering both countries handles the handover automatically.
Best eSIM for Turkey and Greece?
Nomad 36-country Europe (10 GB / 30 days at $13). Muletek Eastern Med Coast if the itinerary also includes North Cyprus.
Best eSIM for Turkey and Egypt?
Qrispy MENA covers both plus 16 other countries. Xiao Long Middle East 8 also covers both. Vodafone Romania Easy offers Turkey and Egypt from €9 for 5 GB / 15 days.
Can I use a Turkey eSIM in Georgia and Armenia?
Only if the plan explicitly includes those countries. HelloRoam West Asia and GlobaleSIM Central Asia cover Turkey, Georgia and Armenia.
Does a Turkey eSIM work in Europe?
A single-country plan will not work across Europe. You need a regional Europe plan that lists it, and Kudo, GigSky, Nomad and Airalo all sell one that does.
Can I top up a regional eSIM in Turkey?
No, not if the provider is BTK-blocked. Buy enough data upfront for the entire Turkish portion.
How do I check if a regional plan includes Turkey?
Open the plan page, find the “Coverage” or “Countries” section, and search for both spellings. If the country is not named there, the plan does not cover it.
Which regional plan covers both Cyprus sides?
Muletek Eastern Med Coast covers both the Republic of Cyprus and the TRNC under one profile. Most other regional plans cover only one side.
Which regional plan has the best Turkey eSIM hotspot policy?
Qrispy MENA allows unlimited hotspot at full speed. Saily allows unlimited hotspot with a 5 GB/day FUP. Kudo unlimited plans do not allow hotspot.
Which regional plan is best for Turkey, Greece and Egypt?
No single regional plan covers all three efficiently. Qrispy MENA covers Turkey and Egypt. Add a separate Greece plan or choose a broader Mediterranean regional plan if available.
Can I use a Turkey eSIM on a cruise ship?
Yes, when docked in Turkish ports. For Greek island stops, use a regional eSIM covering Turkey and Greece. See the destination speeds and offline prep for cruise-relevant coverage details.
Regional Plan Checklist
Use this final checklist to verify country coverage, prepare your regional eSIM and recover if something fails at a border.
Before You Buy
- List every country on your itinerary
- Find a regional plan whose country list includes all of them
- Verify the country is explicitly listed under both spellings
- Verify North Cyprus is explicitly listed if needed
- Check the network partner (Turkcell for rural, Vodafone for coast). See the three carriers.
- Check network partner in each other country
- Check hotspot policy if sharing data
- Check FUP threshold if considering unlimited
- Confirm BTK block status. Read the BTK block restrictions.
- Check refund policy before paying. Read the buy-online steps.
- Check support channel accessibility from Turkey
Before You Fly
- Buy and install the regional eSIM on Wi-Fi. See the install troubleshooting.
- Label the line “Regional”
- Set the eSIM for Mobile Data
- Set home SIM for Voice & SMS
- Keep data roaming OFF until landing
- Download offline maps for all countries
- Save the QR code email offline
- Save the APN value
- Install a backup eSIM if possible
- Save emergency numbers offline
Crossing Each Border with One Plan
- Enable Data Roaming for the regional eSIM
- Wait 2–5 minutes for network registration
- Verify carrier name
- Test data with a map or browser
- Confirm SMS works on home SIM
- If no data: check APN, restart phone, try manual network selection
- When crossing borders, verify the new network is included
- Monitor data usage
If your whole trip is inside one country, a single-country plan is simpler — don’t pay for Europe you won’t use. For Turkey plus Greece, Egypt or North Cyprus, Roami’s regional eSIM covers the countries it lists and switches networks automatically, from $2.99 with code web20 for 20% off. For the big picture across all of Turkey, start with the ultimate guide.
The Region-Proof Pick
- If you’re staying in one country, skip regional plans and buy a single-country eSIM.
- Verify the country list before you buy a Europe plan — North Cyprus and Turkey need separate checks.
- Download offline maps for border crossings where the handover can fail.
- A multi-country plan that switches networks automatically beats juggling separate SIMs.
